The Prosperity Wheel

The Prosperity Wheel, a new way to look at investingWhen I decided to become a Registered Investment Advisor in addition to an attorney, I learned to walk, talk and think like the brokers and advisors. And you know what? The more I dealt with people as financial clients instead of law clients, the more I realized that everything I had been told and everything I learned about investing was flawed on a very fundamental level. I realized that psychologically, people did not think nor act the way they were supposed to —and perhaps the investing industry was satisfied with that arrangement. What troubled me was that my legal training and experience as a counselor made me want to explain to people why one investment suited them while another did not. I discovered that brokers and advisors did not have the important conversations with their clients about money, taxes, and how fundamental changes are necessary in retirement. These are important things people need to understand in order to make more informed decisions about their financial well-being. It’s an educational process.
